CELEBRATING $139k in May! Holy hell am I proud of CELEBRATING $139k in May! Holy hell am I proud of that girl from 4 years ago. Look how excited she was!! I had just hit “send” on the email that gave notice to my boss that I was quitting. I had no certifications, no savings, no guarantees. All I had was a deep knowing in my bones that I had a song to sing with this world & everyday I swallowed that song instead of letting it be sung was a day I would never get back. In the beginning, it was so easy to celebrate. My first client! My first launch! Traveling to new places! Creating, writing, sharing all day! Getting paid to just be me! Waking up whenever I want! Being alive! I felt like a little kid at Christmas every morning. I knew FOR SURE that sense of awe and wonder would never fade! Duh. I remember once receiving a message here on IG from someone who said: “Oh how innocent you are. Enjoy that awe because it fades.” It didn’t land then, but I get it now. It’s easy to celebrate in the beginning because it’s all brand new. And then somewhere along the way - if you’re not careful & highly devoted to your joy - your mind won’t just normalize miracles… It’ll diminish them. “OMG A CLIENT” becomes “only one client.”😒 The $10k month, then the $50k month becomes “not as good as last month.”😒 The freedom you once PRAYED for becomes another thing on the checklist. So I ordered the damn balloons, ok!🤪 The real reason why is because there’s a voice in my head that says “This is so cheesy Nicole” And THAT voice… is why people build incredible lives and businesses but can’t let themselves feel it. That voice is the thief of childlike awe, wonder & joy. I, for one, refuse to let that voice lead. 4 yrs ago I made in a year what I just made in a month 4 yrs ago I PRAYED for the people I now get to serve & the responsibilities I now have Now I am here, living the life I begged for. That is a fcking miracle. These balloons represent the $$$ yes. They also represent the people I get to serve, the woman I’ve become, the joy I choose to fight for, & the miracles I refuse to diminish.
